MARIA DOMENICA BRUN BARBANTINI was a woman of strong faith, exceptional courage, and extraordinary compassion for others, most especially the sick and the poor. She founded the Congregation – the Sisters Ministers of the Sick of St. Camillus (the Camillian Sisters). Her life was an inspiring memory and an exemplary holy life, dedicated fully to the sick and the needy.
She was beatified by Pope John Paul II on May 7, 1995, in Rome, Italy.
